High quality flux.

Very good randomness. For example, with a built-in megohmmeter. The size is a bit big, but that doesn't bother me. Connects to your mobile phone. For a few dollars more you can purchase a sense amp adapter kit.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons

Fluke quality as usual

Fluke has always been recognized as one of the leading manufacturers of test and measurement equipment in the electrical industry and this Megger is no exception. Essential for any electrician when troubleshooting, especially in heavy industry. The only thing that worries me is that if you're paying more than $600 per meter, it should come with a magnetic hanging strap.

Pros
  • a good thing
Cons
  • so-so

I wanted to use this to test EVs in the automotive class (I'm an instructor). After contacting Fluke, I learned that I needed to measure the resistance of the leads and then calculate the difference in the resistance reading. Since we're looking for a reading below 0.05 ohms, that's a bit annoying for a $700 meter. The first counter I've used in a long time without a zero function. Otherwise ok. After further communication with Fluke they proved very helpful and we found a solution which caused

Paid $750 for megger not working

Bought this for work. I even used it as a practice tool for a short time until I realized it read 550 megohms at 528VDC when testing a motor. Realizing that this couldn't be a good read, I tried swapping the wires, checked the wires for continuity to make sure they were fine for what they were, and tested it on a piece of wire (essentially a short ) and sure enough , 550 megohms. and 528 volts DC. I've only had this thing a few months and was very disappointed with this scenario so I called…

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Speed
