Not bad good for trucking GPS

I bought the GPS for obvious reasons. The truck's route is pretty accurate. You can adjust the length, weight, and width of your truck so it doesn't take you to areas where you shouldn't be. Fair warning that he is unaware that US Route 501, which leads to Georgia Pacific on Virginia's Big Island, has a 60-foot length limit. If you walk this path you cannot turn around so be careful.

Just buy this! This is the highest level!

Easy to buy. This is the best you can find today! Very easy to use and always works. The mount is great too and you can also buy a commercial mount from RAM Mounts if you want something almost bulletproof. I had Rand McNally 7 per. It was decided to just stop working after 1 year. It is very difficult to learn how to use it. I also had a Garmin 785 with a built in DVR. Two of them even. they are garbage. I think it's too busy for the system to handle.

Lots of new features

Lots of improvements over the old model, this one has more B/T connectivity and you can read text on the screen just like any other I think but obviously has it over the edge that supposed leaders in the community. Car GPS devices, NOT. Garmin all day every day! Do you get WTF every now and then? Wait a minute, but unless you've just started driving a truck, you'll understand. He barks about weight and height restrictions with more warnings, in many cases the issue isn't a problem because the…

Built for truckers by someone who doesn't know

I bought this unit to replace an old Rand McNally unit. I even paid extra to get it before I go on my next trip! A flight from North Alabama to OKC and I wanted to return this thing before I got back. I knew it was going to suck when I pulled out of the driveway and onto the county road and was told no trucks were allowed. Mapping has deteriorated, and finding gas stations and parking lots has become too tedious. Does it tell you when to turn, almost when it's too late to turn the page and…

Good quality unit that works as advertised

Very good unit. The most beautiful screen I have ever seen on a GPS is crystal clear. Fingerprints are easily erased. Running on Android OS, it runs smoothly and is rich in features. The device itself is very well thought out. The maps and routes seem accurate so far. I traded in a tomtom trucker for this unit and qualitatively they are day and night. Keep in mind this is a large unit, I bought this for my Ford E450 truck. I had to purchase a beanbag mount as there was no way to mount the unit…

Overpriced - software error

Garmin needs to improve. This GPS suffers from software and child performance issues. I drive heavy trucks. I like the ability to change trailers, axles, weights and dimensions and add them to the vehicle profile. For the most part, limited weight roads and bridges were eliminated for me. Dislikes - Impossibility to find a specific exit - Awkward to calculate where you will be in say 50 minutes. - The graphics are a complete joke. Sometimes I wonder if Leap Frog and Garmin teamed up for graphic

No camera good for GPS, viewfinder and accessories

I only received the unit a few days ago and have been trying to get used to it for a few days now. It was bought to replace my current truck GPS which uses very poor routing algorithms. First I read the manual, updated the system, then the maps, so now I'm just trying to learn something so I can travel well. It's essentially an Android tablet with Garmin GPS as the main app, but despite running on the Android operating system, you can't do many of the things you can do on a tablet. I have sent…
