Does not include locking screw for shorter modules (2280 only)

available Please read carefully. Fixing shorter modules is not possible. They could have included a $.05 screw and gasket, but they didn't. I ordered a spacer elsewhere, but it doesn't quite fit. I don't know if it's not standard or not. There is no link to get the correct part.

Sweet Board - Monkies the 2.4 a Bit

Yes, it spoils the 2.4 a bit, but the Odriod N2 is no slouch either. I combined this with 512GB SATA, 8GB Pi4 and BerryBoot. Works very well and loads more Linux than anyone needs. Note: I gave it five stars for thickness and five stars for warmth. It's just sooooo cozy.

Big Disappointment - Barely better than a flash drive

. I had high hopes for this expensive board, but after testing several fast SSDs, including a $300 1TB unit, was the fastest Write speed I was able to reach 110 MB/sec. That's little better than Samsung's $20 128GB flash drive, which can write at sustained 95MB/s.

good value for money to improve Pi 4 performance

I was able to use this to add an M.2 SATA drive to my Pi 4 combined with a GeeekPi low profile Raspberry Pi 4 fan install. With my Pi 4 configured booting from the M.2 SATA drive and a low profile fan, I can overclock the Pi 4 to 2.2GHz and run a numeric code for 30 minutes to ensure that this configuration is stable. The higher 2.2GHz CPU frequency and M.2 SATA drive make running Ubuntu or Ubuntu-MATE acceptable. Although I really want a Pi 5 with ARM Cortex A-75 cores to come soon.

fully unshielded USB connector

The kit was easy to mount on the Raspberry Pi and works perfectly with the SSD I bought. However, the included USB adapter that connects the Pi USB to this board is completely unshielded and sprays EMI. My use of this device and how I discovered it means that this EMI does not affect anything for me, but it is very bad practice. Yes, it messes up 2.4GB Wi-Fi.

Also messing with keyboard keys etc. Anything 2.4GB will interfere with any poorly shielded USB device which is the worst I've seen. said it works great with the gumstick drive to make the pi4 usable for everyday use (if you also get an ice tower cooler and overclock the pi). Buy a USB2 hub and maybe a short extension cord for it and plug in any 2.4GB USB port a few feet away - it works fine here and my wifi hotspot is 5GB so I use that.
