Recommended for General Tools pin vise.

I use this tool a lot when repairing clocks. They're a little more expensive than some of the alternatives, but they're worth it. very well done. The roughness is deep, which makes it very comfortable to wear, and a little tight.

Pros
  • Two double ended collets made of hardened tool steel
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Does not fit in vise as advertised

First of all I would like to point out that I did not receive a General Tools product. At first the surface is rough and the coating comes off. on your fingers when trying to use the tool. I have a sliver of metal I'm still trying to get out of my index finger. The collet is not made of hardened metal and will flex rather than return to its original shape. Pros
  • Collets in handle
Cons
  • String is shorter than other picks

With a Dremel(TM) drill bit, I've had some trouble tightening the bits enough to work with harder material than say balsa. The jagged surface is quite rough - rougher I would say would improve grip and blistering in the early range if you use it very often. It's well built and the wheel on the end spins freely which eases my pet…

Pros
  • Exceptional pin vise for precision work on models, tools and jewelry
Cons
  • Something different
