The visual dragonfly is a great tool.

. It is convenient to visualize the existing degrees of fall, negative or positive, before adjustment and then actually see the results of all efforts.

Pros
  • . Easy to use.
Cons
  • . Available in black only.

Very reliable tool, suitable for tire repair tools

It worked fine for me, it did what TireDiscounters couldn't. I took my '03 Yukon XL to line up and it came back with a positive 4 degree camber. Got a refund and ordered this tool, set it up myself and took it for a free alignment check and it is now within specs.

Poor quality control

This magnetic camber tool was almost completely useless for its intended purpose. There was too much air at the level of the main bubble, causing the bubble to take up almost the entire visible field. This deficiency is obviously a lack of quality control during the manufacturing process of this device. I have to drill a hole in the level, drain the fluid and top up to an acceptable level, then seal with a dab of JB-Weld epoxy.

Good craft tool. so that the magnet does not get stuck on the rotor.

My wife's 2006 Honda Odyssey needs camber adjustment and I found this tool at Revain and for the price I thought I'd give it a try. This helped set the fall. Now I don't have to run to the mechanic to get the adjustment right as the van is rarely used. This is a useful DIY tool, but you need to have your car professionally leveled. UPDATE: When using this tool, make sure not to hold the magnet by the rotor. The last time I used it on my truck, there seemed to be a grinding noise coming from the

Warning to suspension installers

As a suspension installer, I use this for a function other than camber. I use this tool as a guide to get the car as close to spec as possible when it hits the door. I have several of these on hand so I can have one for each wheel. Since I do custom suspension, I try to get the camber as close to the camber as possible when it retracts. I know this won't always be perfect, but it works for what I need. What I do is this to measure camber from 0 as a guide if I have stock suspension. After theโ€ฆ

Camber and Wheel Tool Gauge

Even with my car's non-flat wheels, which required jacking the front end up and down multiple times to remove, measure and adjust the tires frequently, I was able to align successfully even the camber (about minus 1/2 degree - not verified by reputable shop) on the front wheels of my car, sticking the tool on the brake discs when the car is off the ground (wheels not), then measuring the ground again (wheels mounted - tool on a steel ruler over the center of the rim) and make corrections forโ€ฆ

It's not the best "professional " tool, but it's still handy to have

. I will stop the scam immediately, too much "range" for this size. No matter how small the instrument is, it must be MAX. +/- 3 degrees, one degree less wouldn't hurt either. It's too imprecise to get a clear scale with a long range in a tiny rut, and to be honest most "road" cars will be in the -0.5 to 1.5 degree camber range anyway , while cars with high characteristics clearly do not fit into this range. .All in all, it's in my pocket in case someone breaks a joystick or something in theโ€ฆ

a bit awkward to use

I bought this camber adjustment tool because I have replaced all the front suspension parts except the coilovers and I have never been able to figure out how to do the calibration work. I'm a maker and use geometry and levels on a daily basis but this thing, a little smack on the dial on the back and it changes from -5* to +5*, I've been thinking about this for hours and finally gave up. and used only magnetic digital micrometers. Now the tool itself seems well made, but unless it comes withโ€ฆ

This tool is NOT suitable for leveling!

This tool is not used for leveling. This tool is used to put the camber back in the same position as after removing or replacing the shock absorber. Some posts are adjustable and have a slot. This is used to set the camber by moving the shock absorber in or out slightly and re-tightening the bolts. Camber is the degree that the top of the tire leans in or out, measured in degrees. As camber changes, so does convergence. Toe-in is how far in or out the tires are when viewed from above. If theโ€ฆ
