"Heli-Coil " Simply the best product of its kind!

I am a senior automotive technician at ASE and I can tell you that there are several brands but this brand has the best design of all. If you follow the instructions and use the appropriate tools to install them. The repair will last for the life of the engine. Useless piece of junk, I spent $50 to buy a set of helicoil spark plugs from O'reillys Auto Parts and my spark plug flew out engine after 4 hours. -5 months. I bought an insert but the old Helicoil stripped the new threads. Now I have to shell out $343 for a big sert insert because Stanley doesn't make kits in large sizes. Difficult but not impossible.

If you've never worked with metal threads, you know this spark plug method is relatively easy, as the smaller thread pulls the larger thread. The chance of messing things up is greatly reduced when you have spare spark plug threads. However, it's not for the faint of heart. Use lube, turn off the faucet several times during the process, preferably remove the head OR ensure all debris is removed from the barrel.
