Works great with 18AWG wire

I'm not sure why the above review says you can't use 18AWG wire on the AC side. I have made. It was tight but it fit. In any case, you do not need thick wire. These are weak currents. However, you need adequate insulation for AC voltage. I use two of these to power electronic loads and they're working great so far. It would be nice if they had space for screw terminal blocks and more space around the terminals. mounting holes. But I passed.

Convert Split Phase 240V to 5V for NodeMCU

I used it to power a NodeMCU that controls a SSR 40A that turns my water heater on and off automatically. So far this has worked great. I hooked up the input side of the relay and the other branch of power while hooking everything up and when I turned on the switch there were no sparks. I wish the entry holes were a little bigger, but I just used them as large solder pads and used a short lamp lead to power it. Anything smaller would have trouble connecting to the power cords. Power input and output ports are poorly designed

AC input vias are very small and not large enough for 16-18 AWG wire, which is probably what you need to carry AC power. The vias are large enough to fit a thru-hole power terminal block, but there is not enough room on the top to mount this block. The board on the input side could have been a bit longer and then I could have mounted a terminal block there and everything would be fine. As for the output vias. They are too far apart and don't support the common spacing of most solderable power…
