Great product ! good for me

Mom has a pressure ulcer that drains daily and I needed a large foam dressing that would hold to her skin without damaging it and would remain in place while wound drains and This Is It. I've ordered 3 packs (15) but will order more.

Pros
  • As expected
Cons
  • The adhesive may cause irritation or allergic reactions on sensitive skin

Pretty good in my review

Pretty good product. Not as adhesive as some others, but I'm a guy who perspires a little above average so maybe that's it. And at least these come in a flesh color too.

Pros
  • Very countable
Cons
  • I found these did not stick well...and formed a rash around the adhesive area

Works, overpriced - my new review

Works well, very surprised. They cost more than they should, really pushing it at 3.00 each individual item. The dressing may be difficult to remove and may cause pain or discomfort!

Pros
  • Great for wounds open or healed.
Cons
  • The dressing may be difficult to remove and may cause pain or discomfort

Great for skin, must buy

Great product for sensitive skin. It’s like a second skin. However, be sure to put extra absorption pads (gauze, Telfa pad.) for wounds that have a large amount of moisture or located on a constant pressure area.

Pros
  • Stayed in place.
Cons
  • The dressing may not be easy to apply, especially for patients with limited dexterity

Easy and great to use!

These are great! I am a private duty nurse and use this on one of my clients for a sacral skin irritation. Comes off easily with no added problems to the skin.

Pros
  • TM bandage helps to protect and promote healing. Will buy again.
Cons
  • The product may be difficult to store and dispose of properly

Be careful with Strong Adhesive

The adhesive is too strong- it was painful to take it off- even though it was large for the sore and the skin where it peeled off was perfectly normal. It does absorb well but there are other less expensive brands that work just as well and don’t hurt to get it off.

Pros
  • Very good. It doesn't hurt the skin when is taken off
Cons
  • For tea

Better adhesion & will reapply after checking wound

We’ve found these a bit better than the LotFancy brand. The silicone bandages are far superior to the Bandaid type brands because they don’t cause skin breakdown, are not too painful to remove, and we can check the wound and then reapply.

Pros
  • Excellent
Cons
  • The adhesive may damage surrounding skin when the dressing is removed

Terrible to remove: my feedback

The adhesive is much too strong and ended up causing more damage to the skin. Only used one pad and will not use the other four in the box.

Pros
  • They are very good bandages...just wish they weren’t so expensive...
Cons
  • Poor adhesion, does not remain in place, which reduces effectiveness.

Relief for blistered toes

In my old age toes have developed blood blisters after I exercise. My podiatrist suggested cotton balls, but they do not stay between the toes with blisters. The MedVance foam bandages alleviate the friction between my toes. The product is soft, adheres snugly, and pads my toes. MedVance foam bandages work ten times better than bandaids.

Pros
  • Great product eliminates need for additional dressing products
Cons
  • The foam material may trap moisture and cause skin maceration

Product could cause skin damage.

Item applied to protect skin on back of upper legs. After sitting on toilet for a little while the patches heated up and stuck so hard they were very painful to remove! Luckily my skin remained intact. I am still able to use a walker and I think these pads might be dangerous for someone who is completely dependant. It could damage their skin badly. Thank you.

Pros
  • Wound that is healing but still seeping. This product absorbs very well.
Cons
  • The dressing may not stay in place and may require frequent readjustment

Foam Dressing--good size and great stickiness

I used another brand prior to finding MedVance TM Foam. This one is a better size and sticks to skin well so holds the wound care products in place while healing. I used the same bandage two days in a row. The negative I would say is it is difficult to pull the bandage off. Sometimes the edge stretches and pulls off. I've ordered multiple times.

Pros
  • Gods adhesion without harm to fragile skinAbsorbs moderate draining wound well
Cons
  • Overall not happy with this product, used for bedsores but other products of this brand are much better.

Deceptive Picture. in my review

The picture in the advertisement shows this bandage being about the size of your palm. This bandage is big! I have large hands and this bandage is bigger than my hand. It's too big for what we needed.Beware! This item cannot be returned! We wanted to send it back unopened, but it's apparently ours to keep now.

Pros
  • Seem to work OK as a bandage, adhesive bothered my skin
Cons
  • when wet, adhesive can be very frustrating to remove

Won’t Purchase Again

Bought these as a filler item for my mom while awaiting for her Mepilex dressings to come in. She was very disappointed. Stated the adhesive was "glue-like” and very thick. It irritated her skin and she felt like it was putting her a great risk for skin breakdown to the peri wound area when removing the dressing. Would not recommend for anyone with thin, sensitive skin. Will be sticking with higher quality products like Mepilex.

Pros
  • Perfect bandage for my use.
Cons
  • The product may not provide sufficient absorbency for heavily exuding wounds

Not worth cheap price

Poor adhesivem not breathable, and not flexible or conforming. There may be some places where it can be used but in most locations on the body or extremities where there is movement it just does not work. Paying double the price for Mepilex brand products is a much better value.

Pros
  • Better adhesion than other leading brands.
Cons
  • The cost may be prohibitive for some patients

Using for a bedsore

The MedVance TM Foam – Bordered Adhesive Hydrophilic Foam Dressing 6"x6" (4.1"x4.1" Pad) it's by far the best wound dressing I have recently come across. It sticks well, doesn't allow urine or fecal matter in and isn't as hard on the skin as some are. This doesn't have a silicone adhesive border, they didn't work for us. I highly recommend this product.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • The product may not be sterile, which could increase the risk of infection
