Great for my sailboat

Humidity is always a problem in the Pacific Northwest and I'm happy to report that this unit works great. It's powerful enough to circulate a lot of air through my sailboat, but it's a bit noisy. My boat stays closed over the winter and I can't empty the storage tank every day. I solved the problem by drilling a 5/8 inch hole in the bottom of the reservoir and adding a rubber grommet. I put one end of the plastic tubing in the hole and the other end in the sink drain. Water is no longer…

Louder than IVADM10

This unit is DEFINITELY louder than the smaller IVADM10. I decided to purchase it after reading that it uses the same "quiet Peltier" technology, and I'm disappointed that it sounds at least twice as loud as the smaller unit to me. I chose it to replace the IVADM10 in my bedroom so I don't have to empty the tank as often, but now I feel like I have to turn it off every night. If you like white noise, this is the car for you! It's definitely not noisy or noisy, and likely quiet given its size…

Don't waste your time

I ended up returning it and buying a larger (different brand) from Walmart. The fan on this hardly moves any air. I bought this for my workshop which is 10 feet by 12 feet. After a day of continuous use there was only 1/2 inch of water in the tank and my humidity never dropped below 80%. I replaced it with a larger one, poured in half a gallon of water in 8 hours and lowered the humidity to 50% for no reason! My large one just slides out like a drawer and you can easily dump the water out which

24 hour test in Grow Tent

Received yesterday so no comments on durability yet. Set up in my grow tent yesterday the temp was 77f 71% RH. After 24 hours the temperature was 75°F and the relative humidity had dropped to 55%. I live in the south so humidity can be an issue, there is about 6 fl oz of water in the tank. For now I think it will be fine for a 2x4, 3x3 or 4x4 grow tent. Would have preferred a drain line but don't see it as a problem to empty every day or two. If I really need it I'll put it on an Inkbird…

Works better than I thought.

I live in a basement apartment. My AC window unit won't drain water for some reason, so it gets a little damp in here. I bought it hoping it might help a little and it worked. More than a little. My couch no longer feels damp and I can sleep without feeling sticky. I accidentally turned it off after emptying the tray before going to work and when I got home I was shocked at how humid my apartment was. Turned it back on and after a few hours it felt great again here. A note: this is not intended

Works well in small spaces. Too bad the electric adapter is heated.

I bought an IVADM35 a few weeks ago to control the humidity in my music room. The device removes moisture from the air very well. I was pleasantly surprised that I emptied the unit every 36-48 hours as the humidity in the tank meant for me that the water wouldn't damage my prized musical instruments. So on that level I really liked the IVADM35. I'm in the midst of making a recommendation and talking about how much space this device actually takes up. It was in a 10x10 cm room with humidity…
