The threads don't start at the bottom of the cap, so it won't work if there aren't many threads on the bottle. For this reason I had to return it. The description doesn't indicate how high the threaded portion of the bottle should be and the threads on my ceramic bottle weren't high enough.

I bought these because I was told they were stainless steel not plastic. Some of them look like stainless steel and are heavier than other pumps. However, many parts of this pump are made of plastic that has been given a special coating to make it look like stainless steel. Also one of the pumps arrived shabby which is disappointing but luckily it's two packs and the other pump is fine.

I bought these to make my own glass soap dispensers and they are perfect for that. The pump part itself looks like higher quality metal, which is nice. The bottom (the part that goes inside the container) is ordinary plastic, nothing special. The straws(?) that come with the pumps are longer but too long for what I used them for, but luckily they were easily cut to the size needed. In short, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I bought these pumps half a year ago and I use one for my hand soap bottle. About a month ago I noticed that the base of the pump has cracked even though I've only had to refill the dispenser once so the crack isn't due to overuse. There is also rust around the crack and around the nozzle tip, although I only use regular soft soap clear hand. Very disappointed with the durability of these pumps. Good product, doesn't seem to tarnish; However, the fluid-permeable hollow plastic pin is always detached from the pump, which apparently needs to be reattached once a month. You'll have to cut some of the pins to fit your personal bottle dispenser, but I've done this 3 times already. So if you don't mind pulling the dowel out of the liquid soap or putting the soap in another container until you attach the dowel, then you're fine.
