Works great!: Drawer slides

I have Merrilat cabinets that are 30 years old. I had to cut about an inch length to fit my splint. (The piece that contains the splint). The guide or rail I have has a slight curve at the back of the rail. Therefore I had to cut off the piece that contains the splint. Fairly easy to cut with a hacksaw. The hardest part was bending down to screw the bracket to the back of the wall unit exactly where it needs to be to allow the drawer to move properly. This setup requires body contortions and…

WORSE THAN THE ORIGINAL

ALL the drawers in all my closets are mounted on rails held by brown plastic holders at the back, a bit like these. After 30 years ALL original braces fail. This product was the closest size I could find and seems to be durable. NO. After about 1 month the first one I had installed fell apart in 3 pieces. The drawer slides do NOT fit perfectly, and some of those hard-to-wear parts put constant stress on the plastic. Some fit tighter than others. Good plastic will naturally creep and release to…

Excellent replacement part.

We had a vanity cabinet that used plastic brackets to attach metal drawer slides (and it wasn't a cheap cabinet!) Well of course after normal use the bottom of one of the brackets broke causing the slide to fall off and the box became unusable. I contacted the manufacturer (SunnyWood) who informed me that they no longer use this type of mounts. I then asked how they recommended the repair and they sent me what they use in their vanities NOW. I would have had to disassemble part of the case to…

Expensive exact replacement

I agree with almost all of the previous reviews, both good and bad. Whoever built this house 20 years ago bought all of the kitchen and bathroom cabinetry from a single source. The first box failed two years ago. Since I couldn't find a replacement locally, I bought an entire set of slides and rebuilt them for use with my drawers. What an experience! When another one broke last month I tried to do the same repair but the workspace was very limited. The thought occurred to me, but let's use it…
