Delightfully complete kit

This is a complete system to occasionally flush on my water heater. I was a little surprised to learn that the only additional thing I needed to do was buy a few gallons of white vinegar to get the process started. The items included in the kit are more than enough to complete the tasks. There are many guides on YouTube. All in all it was an easy process.

  • Some cons

The pump and hoses are worth it

Rinnai used to flush the unit. After seeing what plumbing was like, I felt comfortable doing it myself. The cost of the device is definitely less than hiring a plumber. The bucket is too small. It is best to use a five liter bucket. The instructions were good and there are plenty of videos online to walk you through the process. This allows me to wash the sink at least twice a year. Use only one pump to prevent the seals from drying out.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Works great for water heaters

Everything you need to flush a water heater except a few gallons of vinegar. Connect, align valves according to instructions, add vinegar and leave to work. It pays for itself the first time you use it because there's no need to call a plumber. Make sure your heater has flush valves (should) otherwise you'll have to install them. In addition, regardless of the rinse, do not forget to clean the cold water filter. If you really want to save money, the pump and hoses come standard and can be…

Washes well

Set in excellent condition. The hoses I received were color coded stainless steel braids and appear to be of very high quality. Based on the pictures on Revain you can get different hoses. The pump is big enough for no frills work. Super light. I love that it comes in a bucket with a flexible lid for storage, but the bucket isn't big enough for the job. I actually used a 5 gallon bucket that I already had. The main reason I didn't get 5 stars is that the adapter on the pump is not a hose…

Easy to follow instructions

I've been living in my new home for about a year and this is my first experience with a water heater. This kit contains everything needed to descale/flush the water heater according to the instruction manual. I watched some videos online and decided to give it a try. I first went to HD/Lowe's to buy accessories, but the pumps in the store were too big for this purpose, so I ordered a set. However, I bought a 5 gallon bucket because it comes with a 3.5 gallon bucket and the video says 5 gallons.

Pros
  • Handy article
Cons
  • So far so good

Very easy to use and works well, parts can be bought separately cheaper

The first time I hired a plumber to flush a water heater I watched them do it and thought it was so easy that I don't have to pay anyone for it. The cost of this kit is about half the cost of a plumbing service. It was very easy to use and worked well. Came with good and clear color coded instructions. I had some issues with the hose adapter on top of the pump. I had to tighten the bottom to attach the hose without twisting the top connector. Looking at what I got I could get individual parts…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power
