The best solder I have ever bought!

Excellent solder for small applications and large conductor connectors. Lower operating temperature than most other solders I've bought locally.

Pros
  • Diameter: 0.031 inch (0.80mm)
Cons
  • Some flaws

Suitable for printed circuit boards.

Excellent PCB Solder. The flux is water soluble so a few minutes under running water will quickly remove any flux residue from the soldering. (Just make sure you dry the board before applying power.)

Pros
  • flow: 331 at 3.3% | core: 66 | Type: Water Soluble
Cons
  • Safety

The Best - Welding and Soldering

Kester make the best solder and this is no exception, it is the highest quality solder, it is a water wash flux, and it smells like shit compared to kester 44s flux but it flows just as easily and melts very fine solder perfectly, i would recommend that you use a sponge if cleaning the tip between uses as this flux is caustic and rinses off needs to be, but other than that it's a great material.

Pros
  • 63% Tin / 37% Lead (Contains Halogen)
Cons
  • Contact Seller

Best Solder

Kester makes the best solder and this is no exception, it's top notch solder, it's a flushing flux and it smells like shit compared to Kester 44s flux but it flows, same melts very fine solder easily and is excellent, I would recommend you use a sponge if cleaning the tip between uses as this flux is caustic and needs to be washed off but otherwise great stuff.

Pros
  • Residue can be completely removed with a simple hot water rinse
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

General Purpose Electronic Repair Solder

This is a very easy to use lead based solder that is great for electronics repair (especially new lead free boards) and PCB assembly. Water based flux is very corrosive and destroys oxidation on things like old synths and industrial products. Warning: You MUST rinse the board with water when finished as residue is still corrosive. However, unlike pitch ore flux, it is simply rinsed off.

Pros
  • Flux: 331 @ 3.3% | core: 66 | Type: Water Soluble
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

Lot 63/37 is GREAT and better than lead free!

63/37 costs a little more than 60/40 but is worth the price (1) it can be used at lower temperatures (2 ) it cools and installs FASTER (3) you can get your job done more easily (4) in the long run you'll use less than 60/40 because the overall cost is about the same (5) better if you're working with finer parts. I could go on indefinitely over 63/37, but I can work faster and get more work done in less time. I put my 60/40s on hold and don't know what to do with them?

Pros
  • 63% tin / 37% lead (contains halogen)
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
