battery problems!

2 purchased, both returned. I gave them a chance to fix it, he still had a battery failure. Even though it has a 10-year battery, it was dead on both devices.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Running

Dead battery good for carbon monoxide alarm

Bought at a local hardware store. Two weeks later, the low battery alarm goes off! I also bought a Kidde smoke alarm at the same time I bought this, false alarms all the time. The quality of Kidde has gone down, I won't buy their junk anymore!

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Large and bulky

. The switch next to the AC plug is so easy to turn off

The switch next to the AC plug is so easy to turn off. Then it beeps every minute or so. So I think the device is badly designed.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from the testers
Cons
  • Some issues

Thought we might get a bad one (it happens)

We bought two of these things. We installed it exactly according to the instructions and everything went fine at first. However, after about five minutes, the device began to emit random/periodic chirps at low volume. We thought it might be something random that happened at launch. But after 20 minutes, we checked the instructions and found that the chirp indicated "low battery/replace alarm." It was a BRAND NEW UNIT. Since we thought we had a defective one (that happens), we tried to reinstall

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Can't fault it, everything is fine
