This thing is a speed demon!

I tested this on my PC which has a standard USB 3.1 controller on its motherboard. As you can see in the attached images, I got about 462MB/s reading and about 240MB/s writing. I did NOT expect such high speeds at this price! It's incredibly small and easily fits in the palm of your hand. The USB cable that came with the drive can obviously handle high speeds based on the test results I received. Nothing more to say except that I was really impressed with this little drive!

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Legacy Model

FAST storage! Best Storage

I am very impressed with the reading speed on my standard USB3 port. Over 460+ MB/s for a portable device is great! Write speed is good too, 230+ is not bad. My internal M.2 SSD is faster, but honestly it's one of the fastest (if not the FASTEST) external storage I've tried on this PC. I'd say the speeds are good enough to edit 4k video straight from the media without worrying about transferring it to a computer. Sometimes I think that instead of a cable there was a straight plug, e.g. B. a USB

Pros
  • Beautiful Packaging
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price

Well made and affordable

I ordered this 120GB KOOTION Portable External SSD to store and transfer files to my 3D printers. For the price of a similarly sized flash drive, this seemed like the best option. It is well made and works great for my application. It's also the perfect size for when you need to transfer files from home to work, as it fits in your pocket or even on your keychain. It's well made, affordable and does what it's supposed to do, so I'm very happy with it.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Can't remember

Good option for backing up/transferring files

Not big, not super fast, but very convenient and affordable. If you need something ultra light, fairly fast and with moderate storage, this is for you. It's a little better than your standard flash drive. READ SPEED: - I've measured read speed on Crystal Disk Mark at around 450MB/s with USB 3.0 connected, which is likely to maximize USB 3.0 throughput. WRITE SPEED: - The write speed I measured was a bit slower, around 250MB/s over USB 3.0, so it's pretty cheap what kind of NAND they use for…

Great but useless for older iPads with Lightning connectors

I had high hopes for this SSD because the first photo of the product showed an iPad and the blurb mentioned that it was compatible with Apple products but not with dice My iPad Air 3 has a Lightning connector that doesn't appear to be able to deliver enough power to run an attached SSD. I'm sure it will work with new iPads that come with a USB-C port, but it doesn't work for me. The SSD seems to be very good. It's tiny, more than small enough to put in your pocket and forget about it, and the…

Attractive external SSD, acceptable data transfer rate

This is a new version of Kootion, with nice plastic and a strap that opens in all directions. The construction is well done, the metal seems strong enough not to bend or bend. Plastic covering all sides is a smart idea. Normally, these external SSDs get very hot when writing. You can hold the device by its sides and not feel the same intense heat. In terms of performance, I tested it with USB 3.0, not 3.1 (the latter is faster). This gave me a consistent sequential write speed of 100MB/s. No…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
