Reduces water pressure in the shower

These are no-frills water savers and they do exactly what they are supposed to do. The water pressure at our co-op is 80 pounds per meter, which almost makes your skin rip off when you shower, not to mention the extra gallons of water you accidentally use due to the large volume of water coming out of the shower head. I installed one of these bad guys on my shower head and voila, problem solved. The water pressure is now normal. As others have said it makes a bit of a high pitched noise when…

What a gem! The best in plumbing

Installation of new shower heads in a 3 room apartment. Solid Brass 2 Speakman 2.5 GPM, 1 Kingston 1.8 GPM. All three had flow restrictors, which I determined would be too restrictive without trying them, so I removed them. Water pressure is not a problem. BUT how long did the hot water last. I ordered LASCO 08-2483 plastic threads on the shower head stop for all three heads. I used teflon tape on the pipe. The limiters are simply screwed in with a small Phillips head. All three lasted less…

Great way to reduce water flow

I felt like the water pressure in my shower was too high and wasting water. I have this to reduce the flow. He's done it too many times. In the end I drilled everything out a bit and it worked great. My only caveat is that you need to be careful when installing it. If you unscrew it a little, it will be difficult to unscrew it. There are slots for a Phillips screwdriver, they are not that strong. I've heard people complain about noise and although I hear a little noise it's not that bad, I'm…

Works well, be careful when installing.

I was glad there were 2 in the pack as I ruined one of them. I noticed that you can't attach the washer like you would a regular rubber washer. I tried to push harder to get deeper inside and it broke. Then I read some reviews and one said you should start a thread. Thank you for this review! I did this by inserting a small screwdriver into the center hole and turning the washer like a screw. Low, and lo and behold, it worked, and it rotated all the way down. I then unrolled the paper clip…

Cheap and customizable

Due to a drought in California I changed all the showerheads from unlimited to limited. They were very cheap, and with Prime, I could get them almost as quickly as I could get them at the nearest hardware store, without having to leave home. First I screwed one into the shower head and it obviously got in the way more than I wanted. Water leaked out (see the small hole in the picture?). The original hole was less than 1/4 inch in diameter. So I drilled them down to a quarter of an inch and…
