Good product. - Wireless Lavalier Microphones

Great product. The sound is clear and works beautifully. The only thing you have to remember is to record in MONO. So you need to dub the channel with software (Audacity will do) to hear it on both the left and right channels.

  • I'm crossing my fingers

Decent - but overrated.

Much better than the (damn cheap) Neewer 3.5mm Hands-Free Computer Clip-on Mini Lapel Mic (3x Lavalier Mic), but worse than I expected based on the reviews . I tested it on several recorders and a phone and while they sounded ok they were too sensitive to background noise and echoes. For now this is my main concern until I find something more omnidirectional. They are good for job interviews. My biggest complaint is that the foam windscreen doesn't hold up well at all and because it's so small…

Not suitable for Sennheiser AVX wireless microphone

I was so disappointed with this microphone that I bought it as a backup for my new AVX bodypack transmitters. I don't think it's very well shielded as it picks up a lot of noise that the original Sennheiser MKE2 and ME2 mics didn't have. I could clearly hear the hum and hiss, which temporarily disappeared as I repositioned the other two AVX transmitters. I swapped out the mic for other bodypack transmitters with the same results. I often work with multiple wireless transmitters and this is the…

The best for this money!

I read the reviews and also went to YouTube to find out more about this microphone. It was highly recommended and I couldn't believe my ears during a parallel test. It beat Sennheiser and other mics by nearly $150 in a group of five to seven other mics. Wow. I put it in my cart and held it in my hands for almost 6 months until I had the money to invest in new gear. I tested it shortly after it arrived, recorded it in the Audio app on my Note 8 and it didn't disappoint! The sound is so clear and

Great replacement for the ME2

In my testing this mic sounds just as good as the Sennheiser ME2 lav when used in a Sennheiser G3 wireless system, when on a 5D3 or a handheld recorder is recorded. It's actually slightly more sensitive than the ME2, which is good as the preamps don't have to work as hard. It's slightly smaller than ME2, so it's easier to hide. The cable is thinner and thinner than the ME2, so I wasn't keen on it, but as long as the talent isn't rough on it and you take good care of it, it should last…

  • Lots of positive vibes

  • Will be added later

The good and bad of wireless lavalier mics

I've used this mic on several film sets. It was the size that attracted me. but it has some disadvantages. Good: size, sound and price. Bad: size. If you lose one of the included clips, good luck with the standard clip. They're too big and the company doesn't seem to be able to sell them individually. I had to wrap them in tape to make them thick enough to use in a typical clip. Sound - Real sound sounds great. The problem is that the cable is very noisy. You can run your hand over the cable…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I won't say anything

The build quality of the G3 is poor.

I bought this as a possible replacement/backup for my Sennheiser g3 lav. Pros: + Clip design makes it easier to position and hide than g3 + the sound is great. Cons: - Slightly shorter cable - Poor connector clip design on the G3 wireless belt pouch. Feels very cheap when you screw it into the g3 and I wondered if it was screwed in at all (it was so bad. Still - the recording turned out great and it actually worked) - the build quality is worse than the g3. For the price it seems like a good…

  • 1 year trial
Cons

This mic gets a solid three stars. analogues in this price range. I have several Digipower amps in my mic closet that cost 1/3 the price of a MIC-J 044, cut more wind noise and sound better. I wanted something smaller than the Digipower lavs, but I still use them more often than the MIC-J 044 due to the noise reduction aspect. Also, the cable is very thin. If this mic ever falls out of the clip, you'll have to cut the cable in half with your fingernail to snap it back into place on the included

Great replacement for Sennheiser

PROS: - Matches perfectly with Sennheiser packages - Surprisingly good sound quality - Easy to work with EQ / attach to talent / adjust levels - Only $30 AGAINST: - Build quality is not the same as Sennheiser in stock but only costs $30. In the foreword to this review, I will mention my main application for the JK MIC-J 044. I was looking for a cheap mic replacement for the Sennheiser G series chest mic collection (20 to be exact). which are used for community theater up to 10 times a year for…
