Good match. A new version of an old classic.

The Nintendo Port of the Legend of Zelda: The Major's Mask is one of the best games for console 3DS. They took what was already good in the original N64 and polished it to a shine. Not only that, they also added additional gear, like two fishing holes, that weren't present in the original game. The original N64 was made in just a year and it was a great game. The 3DS port development team took their time and made it even better. Will play for many years.

This remake made MM one of my favorite Zelda games

When I first played MM on an N64 emulator I wasn't overly impressed. But I played this version and I really liked it. Great, they added a lot of features to improve a lot of things over the original that were very annoying: the save system (the ability to only save at the end of a cycle was the worst part), making the bomber's notebook a lot more useful in a game where there are lots of quests to keep track of ALL your quests (which is very helpful) and fast forward a dual time song as many…

You will definitely enjoy this game.

I enjoyed playing Majora's Mask on the N64 and even played the game on the emulated version a few months ago and still enjoy playing it on 3ds. I'll say it's slightly different from the original, and I can even say that I personally prefer the N64 experience, but it was worth my time. If you haven't played Majora's Mask because you're worried about the timing mechanics, don't worry! There are a number of new mechanics that make it much easier to manage the main time loop. Experienced players…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

I've never played the original on the N64, I've heard mixed reviews of the game from those who praised it and those who hated it . I was hoping for a 3DS remake and then with the announcement we got a Nintendo Direct and I was really excited. Given the short development time of the original game, which was part of the challenge posed by Nintendo executives, it's understandable why there are fans who criticize the game, but given the game's unique architecture, it's also understandable why it's…

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Questionable buy for the elderly

An underrated classic

A true masterpiece of the game. Tragic, elegiac, unforgivingly dark and filled with an oppressive atmosphere of doom like no other game I've played. Deeply touching, complex, varied and above all funny. This semi-sequel to Ocarina of Time takes all the usual Zelda tropes and mixes them with some cool new mechanics (you play in three-day cycles, endlessly resetting the timeline to make iterative progress and save the world of Termina ). Like me, you'll find that many of the new handheld Zelda…

  • Great for a small home

The term has never looked better!

I grew up playing Zelda games. I remember buying this game the day it came out way back in 2000. I was 5 and this game scared me a lot. Even now, I'm 20 and the darkness still stands. It's unlike any other Zelda game I've ever played and I've played most of them. This remake is as beautiful and big as the Ocarina of Time remake. Everything looks much sharper and crisper than the N64. It's just a great game and Termina has never looked better. The music is exactly the same as far as I remember…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Big revamp in some areas, but confusing changes in others.

First of all I love the original Majora mask. This might be an odd duck in the series, but I've always appreciated the differences, like the 3-day system and the bomber's notebook. However, there were some quirks that I think could be fixed in a future version. But first a few words about the version I received. Living in the US I was expecting to get one for the US market but instead got one for Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Singapore. I was frustrated at first but as it turns out it's not region

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Seamless - as it should be in any update or remake

Majora's Mask 3d is the final version of the game. Of all the Zelda games, this has always been my favorite (yes, even more so than Ocarina of Time, just a tiny bit). Despite its many flaws (like the awful save system or the clumsy time travel) I still loved it, perhaps beyond reason. I've played it from start to finish many times, and yet I couldn't resist buying this updated version - and I'm glad I did. Any changes made to the game are definitely for the better. Saving has become less…
