Roadmate Windshield Mount by Magellan Review

Windshield mount will not stick to windshield. This is bad design and Magellan design. I'm having a lot of issues with a brand new part I bought. I'm looking at the dashboard mount now. But it doesn't seem to have many positive reviews either. I can only get the GPS back. Too many problems to start with.

I only bought my unit in May 2006 but have always had problems with the windshield mount; finally it broke. This block is much better, it gives you 2 options for block installation direction. The screw on the block mount is now on the outside instead of the inside where it won't tighten if it comes loose. It's much easier to get on the windshield.

The new one may seem comfortable, but it is. The mount doesn't want to stick to the windshield. The mount falls off very often and is likely to damage the GPS it is holding in place. The lack of suction in the tool makes it fall off the windshield. .It also makes a rattling sound that can't be avoided no matter what you do! I've had problems with this several times while driving and when I park the car and come back only to find it's on the floor of the car. But we have no choice but to live…
