While an excellent player

The price was here. More importantly, the picture is beautiful and takes up very little space. It worked very well with my Sony Bravia HD TV. The cord that plugs into the outlet could have been a bit longer, but I managed. There were no AA batteries in the remote control and the warranty is only 90 days; but for the price, who could complain? I just hope this DVD player lasts a few years. Setup took less than a minute. No frills player, great picture with HDMI cable.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Periodicity

Excellent purchase!

I bought this DVD player a long time ago. Inexpensive, compact and just what I needed. After all this time, it's still in near mint condition and works great! Even the included remote control. I think I've changed the batteries in the remote maybe once or twice in the years I've had it, but it still works great! Of course last time I checked this item is way more expensive (no reason) but despite the price it's still a great product. If you find a cheap one and take good care of it, it will…

worst dvd player

the thing is rubbish. I got it because I wanted a small DVD player with an HDMI output. it was much cheaper than the competition. a sign I ignored. short anyway. It didn't sync well with my LG TV and I had to turn it off and on again for my TV to recognize it. then it started closing in and out. then it just stopped working. Of course the DVD was still in there. I had to open the door and use a screwdriver to pry out the DVD. I basically went medieval on it. it was cathartic but now i've lost…

Pros
  • very good price

  • boring packaging

Sometimes sound problems.

The DVD player works fine most of the time, but sometimes it just plays videos. It's not a problem with DVDs because when that happens we try different DVDs and it just doesn't work. We turn it off for a couple of hours, and then when we try again, everything works. I don't know why it does this and thought about returning it but was too busy thinking it was pretty cheap and seems to work for the most part. When we use it we use the HDMI connector, so I don't know why, we haven't tried any…

Best DVD Player Ever

Review January 12, 2014 I've recorded (in HD and analogue) over 250 shows and movies. About 500 hours of recorded programs can be stored on this hard drive. With this device, watching TV is much more fun because I can watch and watch at my leisure. All commercials can be bypassed or edited from the program. I also transferred the programs to DVDs. I believe this option is not possible if you have a DVR on a cable or hard drive. Purchase was made on Walmart.com for verification purposes. First…
