This is my first attempt at testing a bar of dishwashing liquid. The benefits I found were that it actually bubbles and forms a lather. It washes off dishes, pans and cutting boards easily and leaves no film on the inside of stainless steel sinks. The scam I found was a soft plastic drainage mat. As I run the wet brush over the surface of the soap, the bar glides across the carpet and splashes onto the splashback and sink; not happy about it. So I try a small square glass storage container. I tried to switch to products with better packaging for the environment. Less plastic, less bulky bottles, more paper packaging etc and they fit the bill. Even better, they work great! I use tea towels I've knitted (granny squares), just rub with soap and rinse! They are excellent for this type of use.
