Very effective cold therapy

Unlike some other reviewers of this product, I like it. I have arthritis in my lower back and hips and this brace is versatile and helpful. I'm 6'2", 215 lbs, 36" waist and 46" bust. This bandage is great for my waist and top around the chest. I love that it uses ice (instead of a freezer bag) because it's ready in no time and doesn't take up space in the freezer It's comfortable to wear and can target multiple areas: spine, lower or upper back, hips, hip flexors, tailbone, ribs, etc. Quality…

Great ice pack without the help of your hands. Leaks after hours

This is a great ice pack. It's very stretchy to fit different body sizes (one size fits most) and the ice pack is quite large and holds a lot of ice. I like that the ice hole is big enough to fit regular ice cubes. I had ice packs where I needed the cubes that my ice tray melts a bit before going through the hole. I like velcro although it is strong enough to hold a wrap but not velcro enough to snag onto other fabrics. And I love that it's hands-free. I twisted my back doing something to my…

Pros
  • Anatomically designed compression bandage concentrates ice and compresses the lesion to speed healing
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Have you ever tried strapping an ice pack or bags to your knee or back. It will not stay, will be too cold or not cold enough to be of use. You can spend money on those pain-relieving patches or electrical tricks, but hot or cold, depending on the injury, works best without the chemicals. If I had known about it when I tore my meniscus last year, I would have gotten this version. Instead, I took a regular ice pack and tried to wrap it around my leg with a towel. It was almost impossible to keep

Pros
  • Easy to fill ice bucket utilizes the convenience of real ice

It's cold but an ice pack pressed against the back is uncomfortable

There are a few things to say about the McDavid Ice Pack Wrap. First off, it's a one size fits most. Most likely, I suppose, if you're very tall (not like the guy in the photo). I find the picture misleading. First, that's why I thought it would fit. Pictured is a muscular guy. Then it should work. My back is nothing compared to his. My waist is 38/40 depending on the pants. I'm 6'1" and the doctors call me tall and slim. I can squeeze into this thing and leave about 2 inches of free space…

Pros
  • Includes one (1) 10" individual reservoir for back/rib space
