McGard 25357 Chrome Black Thread Review

What can I say, McGard wheellocks are the Cadillac of wheellocks. Easy to use and hard to choose. Great visible deterrent for use with other vehicle anti-theft devices such as car alarms, steering wheel locks etc. McGard Wheel Lock looks good and goes well with other tuner nuts on my car's wheels. I highly recommend this product. 5 Stars.

Only got it because the guy at the dealer recommended it to prevent theft. it was the only black one that said it was "compatible" with my car but it wasn't, it's too small for the wheel. I called McGard and they said they don't have a model that fits fits this car and that it is only sold through the dealer. This is the only reason I give 1 star as it is misleading.

EXCELLENT I had to buy another Mcgard lock after the sale that didn't fit my wheels to get this one so I was skeptical at first when I bought it and thought that they would not fit again. My wheels have a deep lug hole (most wheels are after sale) so this wheel lock also has a very long and thin key that fits in the hole. I would also recommend buying it used because it's so much cheaper than the regular price because it's $30 instead of $19 "used". In any case, it's great!

Make sure to register your McGard wheel lock key! If you lose the key or it breaks (in my case) you can get a new one. However, I would not recommend locking the tuner's wheels if you change wheels frequently, for example for trekking or weekends, as the key part is quite fragile. Even with a hand torque wrench and only 85 ft-lbs of torque, the wrench part eventually broke and sheared off after a year of use. This is my third set but from now on I will only use road locks when my car is parked…
