The wheel lock works as expected but is fragile.
Make sure to register your McGard wheel lock key! If you lose the key or it breaks (in my case) you can get a new one. However, I would not recommend locking the tuner's wheels if you change wheels frequently, for example for trekking or weekends, as the key part is quite fragile. Even with a hand torque wrench and only 85 ft-lbs of torque, the wrench part eventually broke and sheared off after a year of use. This is my third set but from now on I will only use road locks when my car is parked outside.
