    The brake pedal fits very easily, just slide the old piece of rubber into place.

    In my 2015 1.8 the brake pedal fits very easily, just remove the old piece of rubber that is currently on the brake, two lugs hold it and replace with the new pedal. The brake has a VW part number on the back of the rubber piece. The inactive pedal is a solid piece attached with small protrusions. It's more difficult to install just because of the screw hole in the plastic hood cover. Not too bad but I stopped and just made real pedals to see if I liked it.     Here are some instructions. A dead pedal requires patience and skill.

    Looks better than stock on my 2011 Jetta SE. The accelerator pedal and brake pedal are relatively easy to attach. The gas pedal is just a cover for the stock pedal. Brake and dead pedal need to be replaced. The new "dead" pedal is narrower than the stock one, leaving an oddly large gap between it and the brake pedal. The metal used for the pedals is flimsy and cheap, but not bad for the price. The installation took me about 45 minutes. up to 1 hour and I'm relatively comfortable working with VW
