Did a great job and then something.

Works exactly how I need it. The bolts fit and feel nice and solid, the arms have plenty of room to adjust, rotate and center as needed. I used this to split the body and press out the crank on a 1985 kx125.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not sure

Works as it should.

Worked great on my DR650 cases. Mid-range threaded rod. I just greased everything and slowly dismantled the shells. It looks like it could have been used to pull the handle as well, but I didn't have to go that far.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Not bad

This worked for me. for tool kits

I found this tool perfectly suited for this purpose. While I can't compare its quality to other brands. I can say that homemade mechanics who show great attention should get the job done. I used this tool to split the bodies of a large diameter single cylinder dual wheel in just a few minutes.

Cons

Worked great on a 1994 XR600R crankcase

I am restoring a very beat up 1994 XR600R and had to split the crankcase to replace two transmission gears. This splitter was very similar to what my typical powersports parts store had, but at a better price and with faster shipping. Although this paragraph only states up to 500cc, there were no problems with my 600cc engine. I think if you were running 1200cc this would not be the right tool for you. Overall very happy with the investment and hope it will last a lifetime as the quality seems…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Fits

Ideal for fluids and maintenance

I have a 1969 Triumph with a 250cc engine. When it came time to separate the crankcase, I was terrified that the two halves would never separate. I had to use different bolts than the ones that came with the splitter because the threads on this motor were different (20 vs 24 TPI) but after a few turns of the broken rod there was a loud pop and it came apart cleanly. I don't know how often I will need this tool in the future, but the investment in this project was definitely worth it. The levers
