NavePoint 1U Blank Rack Mount Panel for Optimal IT Server and Network Ventilation Review

This was the only 5U board I could find. I installed it backwards because it has small flanges at the top and bottom. Because of this, it didn't quite fit in the bottom of my 12U rack. It's not a problem with this plate, but more of a problem with the bottom U in my rack being a bit smaller than it should be. Anyway, very pretty!

I needed short shelves but it's hard to find small shelves without doors. These 7U panels have excellent detachable tops with nuts and bolts on the mounting holes.

That sucks. Another piece of instant junk from Navepoint. These vents are just over 1U, so they're completely useless. Assuming you have an element above and below the assigned rack block, you should mix them in between the elements in the blocks above and below to make them match. I've tried several 1U blanks and the result is always the same. Strange. Choose another product. Navepoint disappoints throughout

The only surprise was that it has four screw holes. But it's hard to go wrong with an empty plate, and the Navepoint doesn't disappoint. Powder coating is good, fit and finish are good.

Sturdy blanking panel seen in my photo above my Apollo interface for ventilation as these can get very hot under heavy use.

I bought this for a Samson stand. The mounting holes are stepped 1/8" so I can't attach it with all four screws. Only two. It makes it look awkward. If it fits, 5 stars. Good finishing touch.

I bought it a few months ago and finally got around to installing it but found it rusty. The rust has come out from under the paint. I was going to sand and repaint it but decided on a different brand instead. This blank was in its original packaging in a room with no moisture or high humidity, so I know the rust is not due to the elements present here.

I like it. The only thing I don't like is their inconsistency. I got a stainless bolt and a stainless captive nut. That's why I give 4 stars because every time I buy rack mounting plates etc in Navepoint the screwdriver is not always the same, sometimes it has a plastic washer, sometimes it doesn't. They need their nut and bolt in the cage to be equal and equal.
