Description of πŸ” Onyehn IR Pyroelectric PIR Motion Sensor Modules - Pack of 2pcs | DC 2.7 to 12V Detector for Infrared Detection

AM312 Human Sensing Module: Based on passive body infrared technology digital intelligent automatic control products, high sensitivity, reliability, widely used in various types of automatic induction electrical equipment. Low power consumption, small size, easy to install.(5 PACK can search ASIN B07NPKMH58). Internal use of digital signal processing, pit interference strong. Repeatable trigger mode: that is, after the induction output is high, in the delay period, if the body in its induction range of activities, the output will remain high until the delay after the person to become Low level. (Ie, the sensing module automatically detects a delay period after each activity of the human body, and takes the last active time as the starting point for the delay time). Working voltage: DC 2.7-12V;Static power consumption: <0.1mA;Sensing range: ≀100 degree cone angle, 3-5 m; (required depending on the lens) Working temperature: -20 to + 60 Β°C.

Data output voltage lower than expected

I read the data sheet before ordering. I was expecting 3V data high but I only get 1.6V for high. I checked with an oscilloscope that there were no on/off cycles. It has a stable output voltage of 1.67. I checked both sensors, both work the same. Besides method validation and test results, I had other PIRs. They fire and work well, but that power is a bit low to use like I wanted, so go to the parts cart. Can be quite good for low power applications.

Pros
  • AM312 human detection module: based on body passive infrared technology, digital intelligent automatic control products, high sensitivity, reliability, widely used in various types of automatic induction electrical equipment.
Cons
  • boring packaging

Works fine but one of the two units "died on arrival ".

It works as expected: looks accurate and connects easily to the Arduino (more on that below). Unfortunately, one of the two devices did not work (output pin was always "high"). I won't return it because I used valid in my project. I will buy more but probably from a different seller. WRT interface, output "high" seems to be 1.5V lower than the power. In my case this came in handy because I had a handy 5V power supply with a 3.3V microprocessor (esp8266). I believe it would also work if the…

Pros
  • Internal use of digital signal processing, strong interference.

  • Some little things

Strange Tensions. Yes, they work with WeMos D1 / ESP8266

As other reviewers have noted, these sensors have an oddly narrow output voltage range. You can easily get them to work with Leonardos and UNO digital GPIO pins. You can also get them to work on WeMos D1/ESP8266 3.3V devices with a little care as there are many unique pin configurations. What I have: A0: Works between 4 and 1024D0: Initialize with INPUT_PULLDOWN_16 and connect the sensor directly to D0D3/D4 (and possibly other standard GPIO pins): Initialize with INPUT_PULLUP and add a 10k…

Pros
  • Repeatable trigger mode: that is, after the induction output is high, the output remains low during the delay time when the body is in its inductive activity range, until the delay after the person becomes high. (That is, the sensor module automatically determines the delay time after each human body activity, and takes the time of the last activity as the starting point for the delay time).
Cons
  • A newer model could have been selected
