So far I'm happy with the bulbs

Bought to replace a pair of 6000K Kensuns that burned out in a BMW E46 four years later. These lamps are significantly brighter and have a beautiful white color. I'll add if the bulbs suddenly die, but so far I'm quite happy. (PS: For an E46 mount, remove the two 8mm screws at the top of the headlamp assembly - this will allow you to slide the headlamps forward far enough to remove the lamp covers without disassembling everything.)

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Lamp of excellent quality but not 6000K

Fairly bright bulb. Got an upgrade and didn't want to pay 150 at the spot where I did the headlights. Managed to save a few bucks by buying them here. The only problem is that even though the box says 6000k, they appear between 4500-4700k. I don't know if it's because it's new or something. I hope it will whiten over time. That's why I deducted a star. But in terms of quality, they are excellent and bright. Again. hoping that over time they will become whiter

2003 BMW 325xi *Faulty*

Bought these for my e46 after one of my original bulbs blew. They've had them for months with no problems, highly recommended for standard D2S HIDs. They were only used for maybe 10 minutes in the morning on the commute to work so not used much. After paying almost $100 to have them stay alive for months, my last pair came with the car and lasted over a year no matter how much the previous owner used them.

Lamp End of Life Review

I purchased and installed these lamps in April 2017 and one of the lamps failed last week. Another bulb blew today. Due to OSRAM's quality standards, I was looking for exactly these light sources. Part of that quality was advertising a lifespan of "2000 hours" or "6 to 10 years based on average daily use". Although these headlights lasted 4 years these headlights were used a maximum of 5 hours a week and were rarely used year round with Covid. That's about 800 hours or 40% of the statedโ€ฆ

Use Osram CBB instead

I would say they are closer to 4500K-5000K. They are more yellow than I had hoped. I also have over 100 hours on them. If I could do it again I would use CBB instead. These lamps are genuine and high quality. Light output is good, slightly better than standard. I have them in my 2007 Acura TL. I also have LED fog lights in my TL and I was hoping they would match the color of the LED fog lights, but they are a bit yellow compared to my fog lights. If TL bulbs weren't such a big deal to replace I

Instant improvement, authentic, alive.

Bought these for my G35 and was "a bit" disappointed with everything I've tried from Morimoto and a few generic fakes. In short I think this is a definite improvement in color and quality over everything else. I have tried. The Osram lamps I received turned out to be genuine. Overall I'm happy with the motorhome and would recommend it if it's in your price range. These CBIs have a nice bluish tint and look sleek, not like a rice cooker or a cumbersome caravan. I uploaded a photo, side by sideโ€ฆ

DO NOT UPDATE. Not 6k as advertised. Doesn't even look like 5k.

The bulbs themselves are fine. However, my problem is that they are not advertised properly. They are not completely white (like 5k) and do not have a slight blue cast (6k). They are mostly white with a slight yellow tinge. Somewhere between 4300k and 5k. Also, they are no brighter than the OEM bulbs that came out of my 2nd gen Acura tsx. In fact, they seem a bit boring. Other than that they worked fine but I still feel like I wasted my money as they are not an upgrade of my OEM bulbs as theyโ€ฆ

Damn cool! for incandescent lamps

I originally ordered a lamp marked '5000K' from another Revain catalogue, but for some reason I received a lamp marked '6000K'* so this one says Rating not "Tested". I was initially frustrated that I had received the wrong item and wanted to return it because I wanted 5000-5500k, but after contacting Osram they were able to confirm that the one was marked "up to 5500k" and "up to 6000k". Content exactly right is same product (they could also confirm it was genuine). They just changed the label,

Here's the good and the bad.

I give this purchase an extra credit for the following reasons. First, let me say that without body modification, this bulb will not fit the Lexus HID Zenon adaptive headlight system on a 2006 Lexus Rx 400h. the body of this lamp. It took a Dremel tool to cut a notch in the plastic base to accommodate the protruding portion of the aluminum housing that was intended to hold the headlight bulb. Without this modification or a raised notch, the lamp will not fit. This will make the light appearโ€ฆ
