The problem is that this device has such a bad user manual that I cannot tell you how to use all the functions correctly. Rubber parts designed for contact measurement easily slip off the device, making it difficult to use in this situation.

I work with conveyor belts all the time and it's difficult to find a cheap and good tachometer. It worked for about a year, and then it started throwing out meaningless numbers. The manual sucks and I still haven't figured out how to turn it off. Sometimes it turns itself off.

I use it for work, mainly measuring the linear speed of conveyor belts. I use the wheel to make contact to measure speed. For the price, this little device is great. The best I can say is very accurate. I did not use the indirect laser measurement function as it does not apply to my work. I have seen comparable models for many more. This is great value.
