Pacesetter 753506 Direct Fit Catalytic Converter Review

Works well but will not fit like an original part. A Nissan certified technician had to take extra time to fit it. The flange was not flat and straight.

Oxygen sensor screw hole misaligned. Therefore, the sensor cannot be screwed and fixed to the catalytic converter. Makes the catalyst unusable

Needs cleaning before installation. Inside the collector there is a lot of welding residue, flux and metal chips. If this material enters your catalytic converter through the pipe, it will become lodged and damage the catalytic converter.

I have previously bought a Pacesetter exhaust manifold, it's a generic copy, the ring didn't fit and the bolts that came with the kit didn't go all the way in. I had to use a faucet to fully insert the oxygen sensor!

I was hoping it would last at least as long as the Nissan scrap heaps. I rode it less than 50,000 miles before the passenger side cracked. Now it sounds like a garbage truck again. The only reason they've lasted so long is because I rarely tow.

The Pacesetter has been around for a very long time and is a very good line of products even for hard to reach applications. The headers do the job and are way better than the cracked factory headers I took off. The fit was spot on and everything was just like the original.

This job is definitely not for the amateur, but if you have a good pro-level tool kit it can be done. If you can't do it yourself, you're more than welcome to take them to your mechanic to have them installed. The fit was perfect and this is a modified version of the misguided design that Nissan originally put on its Armada. As a former Nissan master with 25 years of experience I feel they have been worth it. I've had them for 3 months now and they work well and have passed government emissions
