Caravan Table Post Hole Filler

They fill a standard mounting hole and create a flat surface; This reduces the risk of tripping and prevents dirt and debris from entering the openings. But they aren't tall enough and require a central wooden dowel to allow them to sit flush with the floor. Simply cut about an inch and a half off the dowel rod; or wooden closet rod and that will work fine. There are not many other means to solve this problem.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • High Price

Non-standard use!

I was thinking outside the box when I ordered these! We don't use a detachable table in our RV, so that leaves two holes in the floor, each about 2-1/4 inches. I started with just a mat to cover the holes but with dogs that can be pushed aside. Ever since we've had dogs, there has always been a concern that they might step or slide in the pit and injure themselves. So so. I was looking through the RV blog where people were talking about trying to fill a hole and someone mentioned a plug and I…

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
