🔧 Powerbuilt Universal Lug Wrench - 14-Inch, Model 940558 Review

The wrench that came with the car broke one night when I was stuck on the side of a freeway with an airplane. Thanks to the cop who saved us. Now this beast is in my trunk and it hasn't failed yet. If you still only have the cheap wrench that came with the car when you bought it, upgrade to this one. It's worth not getting stuck at the edge of a busy freeway after dark with a crying 6 month old baby!

It's great. Very sturdy, great addition to my car kit. I bought it when I thought the lift kit and wheel wrench that came with my car had been stolen. Eventually I found her, but thought I'd stick with it. A square wrench is easier to hold and turn. Who doesn't want it to be a little easier in an emergency? The sticker is really hard to remove from the bar if that is important to you.

After my teenager showed me how to fit a set of winter tires and wheels, he immediately asked for one for the trunk of his car. I always carry one in my pickup as factory keys can be short and useless. Additionally, when towing many different trailers, having a range of sizes is invaluable. If you plan on changing tires and rims yourself, at least occasionally, I recommend having one of these in your car.

Sturdy, didn't bend when I used it to loosen some rusty nuts on a friend's car. It would be great to leave the car for an emergency tire change, but I keep it in the garage. I was replacing brake pads, rotors and shock absorbers on my van and this four way wrench makes wheel removal easy. I've used it about 10 times in the past few weeks. It's really well preserved. It won't fit the chrome nuts on my chrome rims because the rim is too close to the nut. But the socket for my tips fits, and then I put a four on the end of the socket. That works great. Bought for my truck. There are no shipping or handling requirements. I've used it once for a tire change this weekend since receiving it on December 19, 2013. It held all four tires really well. I still have the standard eyelets in my truck and also in my Honda Odyssey. I chipped off some of the chrome on the inside from twisting the tabs, but that's about it.
