Bad QA Data storage

Software quality is very bad. If you just need an SMB server outside of your 1G NAS, that might be fine, but then why buy something with an SFP+ port? Network and containers are a disaster. Returned.

After a very rough setup, I have a network drive that can be accessed from any device connected to my router.

I still have my opinion on the lack of customer service at QNAP, but read to the end where I added my positive impression of my QNAP TS-431KX. After I stopped finding answers to my questions from QNAP or their useless user manuals. When I finished reading the user guide, I had many more questions than I started with. My worst experience with this was finding their "Contact Us" link. Not only was the email address provided hidden in the fine print, but my message returned with an error messageโ€ฆ

Update minus 4 stars for device errors and 160 days DOA support errors.

I bought this drive on 11/1/20 and received it on 11/5/20. I also registered it on the Qnap website on 11/5/20. My two-year warranty expires on 06/08/2022. My math must be a little off as it's not 2 years. The UI is a bit busier than Synology DSM 6.2, but overall the UI is very user-friendly and customizable. The mobile management app is cleaner than Synology Mobile DSM. When setting it up for the first time, you need to increase the raid build priority, which increased the initial sync fromโ€ฆ
