Easy to use and better than wire!

Excellent brush. The Polybrush is much easier to use than the wire brush I used. Best money I've ever spent and way cheaper than a $100 pro chimney sweep.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not the best

works as advertised. Make sure when you measure yours.

looks as advertised. Make sure you don't measure from the chimney when measuring your chimney, as the chimney outlet (when looking into the chimney from the inside) is slightly wider than the chimney itself and you could end up with the wrong brush.

Pros
  • Large selection

Act! Great item for metal flutes.

Great cleaning product for my freestanding wood stove! The bristles are thick and you will find it very easy to clean the metal whistle properly. It was a great purchase and saved me a lot of money by being able to do the task myself instead of paying around $300 for someone else.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Many things

Great homemade tool in the brushes

The brush was definitely made in my chimney and was stiff enough to get all the build up, yet flexible enough and well made enough and right enough to pull it really to be able to change direction in my chimney. Combined with their hard rod kit, I was able to have my chimney cleaned for less money than I had previously paid to clean myself.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • There are downsides

Will be very difficult to use if you have any kinks

It was very difficult to find a shaft that could take a 45 degree bend and still rotate without breaking. I bought two sets of dumb plastic bars from the same manufacturer. each crashed before completing their second turn. I spend weeks with shards in my hand. Small to see and remove, but very painful. If it could be solved I would give 4 stars

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Some bugs

Much superior to a steel brush.

We heat the house mainly with wood, so cleaning the chimney is a monthly event. In the past we could run two seasons on a steel wire brush before the wire started breaking and the whole thing started falling apart. This brush cleans at least as well and looks like new after two seasons. Should we need another one I would have no hesitation in buying the same one.

Pros
  • Surprisingly
Cons
  • I don't remember, but something happened

Great brush, left my 8 " 24 foot metal behind.

Great brush, completely cleaned my 8" 24" metal chimney. I had to trim a few bristles to make it easier to pull down The only problem is that if you have a very long chimney, you won't be able to move up and down because the flexible paths aren't strong enough to snap the bristles back down in the right direction once you push the brush up .This way you will be fully stretched and then lowered back down from the top.NOT a big deal though as the brush is so effective 5 or 6 times and you'reโ€ฆ

Cons
  • Some bits and pieces

GREAT TOOL! for household needs

PERFECT for chimney cleaning and PERFECT for the ROD KIT. POLY BRUSH WILL NOT DAMAGE or scratch the inside of the chimney! I bought both a 6" and 8" brush and found that for my HOUSE's chimney, a 6" POLY BRUSH was ALL I needed! big. I found another use for an 8 inch brush in an old chimney in a second building where I use a KEROSENE heater. But like I said, most people I know who clean their own chimneys have told me that a 6 inch brush will work. perfect for her. I RECOMMEND THESE POLYโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Health & Household
Cons
  • Expensive

I've had this since 2014 and it hasn't been used as much as it should be but it has just changed. Luckily we measured properties in acres and when my neighbor burned the top 4 feet of his expensive double walled chimney and melted the lid, the hot ash didn't hit my roof. He burns about 5 cords a season and I'm about a fifth of that, but now I'll be brushing more often. This is a good brush as it won't scratch the inside of the double wall tube so the creosote will still run back into the ovenโ€ฆ
