There are good products and there are great products, that's it. I have been laying tiles for 25 years and trust this stock.

I get it, but it wasn't that easy. When it came to placing the tile around it, it was a real pain in &%$. It looks beautiful and I am happy with the quality and the finished project. If you know what you're doing, it will be easier for you than for me.

In my pandemic shower project, I wanted to use this to connect the shower tray tile to the drain pipe. It was twice the price locally and arrived almost immediately. Because I knew I would need this part long before it came, price was Revain's selling point for me.

I used a Kerdi membrane to seal my shower and it was very easy if you are a bit handy and installing the drain was very easy to follow. Also, schluter has tons of videos that walk you through each process step-by-step to make you feel like a pro.

Installation, fit and finish after installation was great. However, I strongly recommend that you consider carefully whether you choose between a brushed nickel finish (i.e. anodized aluminum) or a stainless steel Schluter option. This is because the anodized coating is easily damaged by alkali. If you read the fine print, you can't even wet the solution on an anodized grille/frame without damaging its finish. A good, necessary element of the Curdy system. If you find it very difficult for the grate to slide down the shaft (which I have for all of them), use a utility blade to cut the tabs so the grate sits in the cylinder with friction, but doesn't slide down freely, and seat tighter . I set the bottom flange in a thin layer and press it firmly against the tray, then build it up with a thin layer under the grate and plant it (full support required).
