Ying: They arrived as promised and seem to be working well. They fill my need for an adapter. Yankee: Not really. (I will neither confirm nor deny that it is copper or a copper alloy. Before receiving it I was skeptical as to whether it was aluminum or zinc. However, they seem too heavy to consider a less dense metal be.)

Unfortunately the two bikes I bought for them are completely useless, they are too long and I can't even pump air through them. Keep in mind that the two Presta valve sets I work with are made by two different manufacturers. Unfortunately, the shipping costs for returns are likely to be the same as for the product itself.

Good to have some extra valve adapters so it was a good deal. I put a pair in every car, a pair in my seat pocket, and a pair in the garage. Now I don't have to look for an adapter every time I need to inflate my tires. They are easy to apply and seal well. They work just like any other adapter I've used.

On one of my tires it really sucks if my Shrader thumb lever compression pump pushes in far enough to open the presta valve. So I remove this adapter, turn the locking nut on the presta and try again and maybe it will work. Is it possible that this adapter is a millimeter or two higher or something?

They work well as an adapter for Presta valved tires on a Schrader pump. Just remember to loosen the nut on the presta valve before using it. I don't know if it's absolutely necessary to retighten the presta valve if you leave the adapter on the tire. I would definitely use a valve cap if you leave it on the tire.

Great product for the money. Worked great. Just remember to unscrew the presta valve before screwing it back in. I didn't leave it on the valve as I only need to use it intermittently with the electric compressor. A small issue was that there were only 9 pieces in the pack which were cut with a razor. This could easily have happened when opening the original packaging. But I only needed one so I have 8 more of what I need.

BIG PROBLEM WITH THESE. Based on the previous positive reviews I have to assume they are making them a bit smaller now to save $$. They are not big enough to fit on top of the Presta-Val (locking "button"). Assuming they were ok, I pushed on the presta valve - it was firm enough to pull the presta valve stem out with it when I removed it again. SCKS big time. cost me $8 for 20 minutes to replace the tube.

They worked great. Unscrew the top of the Presta, put on this product, inflate the tire to the desired amount with the Shrader Tire Inflator. You can then remove them without letting air in, or just leave them on. This product saved me a lot of time messing around with the Presta connection and my little bike emergency pump.
