A very versatile buzzer for any project

This buzzer is very loud for most applications and has a wide voltage range (3-24VDC). It also works with everything from Arduino to vehicles.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Faulty

Great price but could be louder

Used for a Mercruiser ship's alarm buzzer, loud enough for that. The price was right, but don't expect to hear it over loud background noise when using it on hardware.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Loud buzzer for 12 volt systems

This buzzer is made of durable plastic and will beep when 12 volts are applied to the wires. It is loud and can be heard several meters away. You can hear that above the engine noise. I used these beepers for motorcycle turn signals.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Did nothing for Horns & Sirens

I don't know if it was because the wires on the blocks were so thin I didn't have a good connection or something, but I could barely hear the buzzer even before I started the scooter. After the scooter was gone, they couldn't be heard at all. They stay in place because it's too difficult to pull them out.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • weak

Loud enough but not too loud. Sounds more like a creaking sound

I bought these piezos because my truck's piezo died an unexplained death behind the dash. Many times in 10 years I have left the light on after work. I connected the buzzer by simply using a tee that connected to the power wire on the headlight and grounded the other side. I attached the buzzer to the inside of the engine bay with thick 3M tape (grey) (cleaned the surface with some brake cleaner). Works great.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Very high pitched sound and loud

I have used two of these in parallel to keep moles out of my garden. Connected to a timer that offers a 15 minute cycle every one to two hours. I put them in a plastic drainpipe and buried them in the ground for a short time. It seems to be working great when all the toxic peanuts and other commercial products have failed. It's only been a few weeks but if they only last the rest of the summer I'll happily order new ones next spring. (NOTE) I was able to place them in the area upstream of the…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • I have no dislikes, everything is fine

Almost 120 dB when you press the slots on top of the dB meter.

Most Mfg. Test db at a distance of 4 to 12 inches from the device. It depends on how much they want to soften their numbers. The closer it is, the higher the dB number, because dB numbers measure pressure waves and the closer you are to the source, the stronger the wave. You can't push this any further. I've heard network switches in server rooms are noisier. I got a peak reading of around 117 on my dB meter with the sensor at the top edge. The voltage was @ 12.7V DC and lots of current behind…

Pros
  • High test scores for hold and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other selections
