STOP the flickering!

I hooked up some LEDs to my 2007 Jeep Grand Overland 5.7L but they started flickering. I bought 2 packs and the flickering stopped. Also, they are now lighter than before. a little bulky but nothing, some zip ties and double sided gorilla tape didn't fix it.

  • New

Fixed DRL Error Code, 2013 Honda Odyssey

Works as it should. Easy installation. The tricky part is the space your car gives you to mount the bulb and wiring. For bad reviews, check the polarity of the jack, make sure it's correct. Not all cars are the same, some are just more polarity sensitive than others (just reverse the connection). This setup is for 2013 Honda Odyssey.

Ease of installation. on Lights & Lighting Accessories

I bought these because the LED high beam headlights I bought were causing the DRL fault light to come on on my 2006 Honda Accord dashboard. This was because the computer didn't register the headlight's full load. This is because the LED is less stressed than the halogen headlight. This canbus decoder cleared the dashboard error message. Did the job as promised. Very happy.

  • Free for educational purposes

  • Only available in white

Fixed Flicker - Bulbs & Lighting Accessories

I have replaced the halogen high beams with LEDs. My high beam is also my daytime running light. And when they were in day mode, the LEDs flickered. plugged it in and the problem went away. The decoder itself is quite large and hard to find a place to mount it, but my engine bay is small and cramped. With a larger car, this is probably not a problem. They appear to be well made and durable. Let's see if they last long.

  • Industry Best
Cons
  • Expensive

Didn't work properly - 2006 Honda Accord

2006 Honda Accord with Sealight 9005 LED 6000k bulbs I thought they were working great at first when the DRL light on my dash disappeared. However, I soon found that this caused my bulbs to constantly work in high beam mode. I took them off to test and now they work as they should, dimmer like daytime running lights and brighter like high beams. I think I'll just have to deal with the DRL light on the dash.

Pros
  • Great general specs
Cons
  • Got quirks

Random flickering, turning on/off one/both LED headlights. I used them by cutting a small channel on one side into the hole that the lid sits in, just below the sealed lid's o-ring. This brings the modules out of the headlight housing and we attach the stainless steel wire into the bumper just in front of the front wheel arches. Then they soldered the wire exit channel out of the case. Nice!

Pros
  • One year probationary period
Cons
  • New competitors appeared

Also flickers with LED bulbs of the same brand

I bought different brands of lightbulbs to connect to this kanbus so that they don't flicker, but the lightbulbs could not stay connected, I think because they were different brands they were loose. That stopped the flickering. I thought buying the same brand of bulbs would provide a secure connection, but it flickered. In the video you can see flickering on both sides but that is due to my phone's camera but you can easily see the LED flickering compared to the stock bulb.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Some little things

Does mostly what it's supposed to.

I have a 2013 VW Golf TDI and have decided to replace all my headlights with LEDs. I bought error free canbus leds; However, not all were flawless as assumed, so I had to purchase this product. Installation was pretty easy and simple. I ran the car for about 10 minutes with the fog lights on to see how hot the decoder got, it reached temperature. about 150*F, which isn't as bad as resistance temp. But I didn't want to risk that, so I mounted the box on metal instead of plastic. They removed the

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Nothing

I had a flickering LED at first (like we all do with new LEDs) so I decided to go the cheaper FIRST way and use it You resistor types (gold resistor) to "match" the current to the new LEDs. They worked BUT they got so hot I melted leather, plastic etc so they were far from ideal. To fix this I researched and found capacitor types so I paid a little more and got these decoders that use a capacitor and no resistor functionality. Capacitors store and release energy, resistors simply resist theโ€ฆ

  • This is great
