🚪 Highly Visible Brass Door Stop with Smart Stop Hinge Pin Review

The product was intended to be sold as an interior door light stopper. I bought it for a heavy front door and it doesn't work well for this application. This puts a lot of stress on the hinge and I believe on a heavy door the hinge will loosen excessively with regular use.

This hinge is excellent and works well without leaving any marks on the door or wall. That's why I got them. They also compliment the door as they look great on the hinges and you hardly notice they are there. The shipping costs are the reason I can't give this 5 stars as they are ridiculous. The shipping cost is less than $5, so why charge $19? However, there is nothing wrong with the product.

I've had one of these installed for over 10 years and it stops the door at 90 degrees. I didn't buy it from Revain but it's the same product - I still have the packaging. It works absolutely as advertised and I am in the process of purchasing another one (from Revain) for another door I have installed. I don't understand how there can be negative reviews, but I'll leave it up to you, the readers, what could be the cause.

Those other reviews were absolutely correct. I installed this doorstop to prevent damage to the wall. Instead, it immediately left an ugly nick right in the new wood molding I'd just installed around the door. At first I thought I installed it wrong. Doesn't work at 90 degrees (probably the most commonly needed angle) and pushes out the surrounding surface. The door won't stop, well I never let it try, just carefully checked the pan range, I left a pothole in both my trim and the door. I would rate it zero if it were allowed. Picked up at Home Depot. It's very easy to install, but once you've got it installed you'll start wondering if you did something wrong because it actually doesn't work very well. I checked online to confirm the installation and I got it right. You would expect this to stop the hinges from moving further.
