Mandrel breaks outside the rivet

These are by far the worst rivets I've ever used. The mandrel breaks on the outside every time, leaving him sticking out, so I have to trim the excess off each rivet. I've tried several rivet guns with equally disappointing results.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • A few little things

Good rivets in blind rivets

When you get a box 1/10 full you can doubt it's the right number. This is how I know that there are exactly 100 rivets in this almost empty package: I counted them all. Works as the rivet should, I have high hopes it will hold up to the wear and tear.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Don't really like it's ok

Not like advertised item

Listed as aluminum rivet with steel shank. It was an alum/alum rivet and not suitable for my application. I ordered it based on the description and either it's wrong or they sent me the wrong item in the right packaging. Anyway, I lost a week due to this error. Buyers be careful.

Pros
  • Pack of 100 rivets
Cons
  • Newer model could have been selected

terrible quality

These are the most incompatible rivets I have ever used. More than half of these wouldn't fit in a 3/16" hole because the rivets are defective or not round. I would have to enlarge the hole to put them in. Others dangled in the same standard hole. The size was so inconsistent that the number of hits it took to get them fit and break resistant varied from 3/4 to 3. Crazy I would return them but I needed them and couldn't afford to buy others.

Pros
  • Suggested drill bit size: #11 (0.194)
Cons
  • Can't remember

Measure required rivet size before ordering

You need a rivet gun to use these. Many shapes and sizes. They have different head shapes and other features that affect their versatility and ease of use. When you have a rivet gun that suits your needs, you need rivets. They come in a variety of sizes. First is the diameter. This is determined by the size of the hole in that the rivet will be inserted. Next comes the final length of the rivet, which should be enough to hold what you are attaching. Be sure to include the full thickness of the…
