2001 Silverado 5.3L Fuel Regulator Lessons Learned

The SMP never had the correct fuel pressure when the engine was running. It was always around 45psi. The Delphi replacement hits the 55psi mark right on. I only recommend genuine OEM parts for the 01 Silverado; Either Delco or Delphi.

Pros
  • Builds confidence
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Works perfectly. Fits perfectly.

2000 Chevrolet Silverado k1500 5.3L. The product comes with a clamp for holding and an additional holding ring. I don't know what the snap ring is for. I fixed my hard start and really smoothed out the engine. I had horrible misfires and heard a loud pulsing sound every time I turned on the fuel pump, so I figured that was the problem. My truck is running great now.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • OK

I had problems with the fuel system and.

I had a problem with the fuel system and this was the first part I replaced. That didn't fix the problem so I replaced a few others until I fixed the problem. Since this part was new, I left it and threw away the part I replaced, although there was nothing wrong with it. It was only in my car for 4 months but broke yesterday.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Annoyed
