Ideal for small transfers. bad for big.

You can't beat a $13 USB-C 128-bit NVME SSD. works great (500Mbps) when transferring small files, maybe up to 30GB with low load, but when it gets hot after transferring 30GB or heavy load, the transfer rate drops drastically (30-35Mbps). I think it's the case design that keeps the heat in. So I'm releasing it as I feel the heat will affect its durability.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

I use it to transfer large files between my computers. If your files are larger than 1GB, it is recommended to transfer 2 files at a time. When transferring several large files, the speed sometimes drops into the single digits. My problems started after about 2 months of use (after the 30 day return period). When I disconnect from one…

Amazing speed and capacity

I saw this unit and found it to be quite cheap for a 120GB external SSD. I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try because I needed an external hard drive for my trip. I backed up my SD card to it and WOW, between SD card read speeds and a decent write speed averaging 85Mbps, I'm very pleased so far. It also includes a USB-C to USB adapter!

  • Electronics
Cons
  • Almost everything
