Bad reviews are bullshit. These controls work great. I took my time with the installation. I suggest assembling the controls first before bolting them to the bike. I'm 5ft 8" and I'm very comfortable on the bike. My knees are still bent and I don't feel like I'm trying to reach the controls. The metal is definitely lighter than the Harley controls, but you should be fine. I don't have to press the brake pedal hard at all. I don't think they break. Great $120 item, not $400 for true HD control!

I installed the controller no thanks to really crappy instructions. I noticed a slight flex as I put weight on the pins. Keep in mind that I'm not a tall person at 5ft 7in and 140lbs so a taller person is likely to experience more flexing or possibly tearing with more weight on them. After riding, they worked well for me with no issues. What also annoyed me is the shift rod. I had a problem when I received this product. The brake assembly was misaligned for the screw and clamp to engage. I contacted TCMT and they resolved the issue fairly quickly. I have iron 1200 2021. So far so good from the first ride. The brackets are slightly bent. I'm definitely not going to put my full weight (180lbs) on them.
