I bought these to repair a Dodge Dakota caliper. Everything was so stripped down that nothing else I tried worked. I came across this on the internet and decided to give it a try. Comes with everything you need!

Was using this on a brake caliper on a Dodge Grand Caravan when my old man ripped the thread out :) Went to 3 car dealerships and 2 hardware stores and no one had such a size, everyone was puzzled. It came and worked like a charm and was still holding up 2 years later.

Worked like a charm on my 2002 Dakota with its odd thread size on the caliper guide pins. Common problem and very unusual thread size, I couldn't find it locally. Instead of getting bigger and risking breaking the ankle again, I chose to repair with these inserts.

I wish I had bought them online and then tried to find them in store. Worth fixing my VW Jetta and Dodge Dakota caliper bolt. I have been using Helicore kits in power plants for many years. They are cool. The turbine housings I worked on were actually factory installed for a better fit. I recommend using a thread blocker on new threads the helicore crashes into and a small amount of anti-capture on the bot crashing into it.

This kit allowed me to repair the front caliper bolt threads on my Dodge Dakota and avoid replacing the hub assembly. Saved me a lot of time and money. The instructions provided were easy to follow and the results were very professional. Basically, drill out existing threads, screw in inserts, done! The threads are tighter than new and the screws are now very secure. I definitely recommend this set. Note. A 3/8" drill bit (not included) is required to install these coils.

Repaired caliper bracket removed from dealer. It's scary to think that I rode with a cracked front brake bolt for a couple of years. Outstanding quality at a low price. This manufacturer is known for a different style of threaded inserts, but makes up for this unusual size with the Helicoil brand, which is pretty much the standard style used in the industry. Today I finally solved the dreaded broken caliper bolt issue on my '99 Dodge Dakota. As previously mentioned, a major problem is that Dakotas and Durangos have threading issues where the caliper pins thread into the steering knuckle, which is a major safety concern on these vehicles. Just one operation on the front wheel brake can lead to torn brake caliper bolt threads.
