Great performance

I can easily transfer 9.5Gbps+ through these adapters over iperf3 with no network setup (no jumbo frames etc.). I use them with Intel X550-AT2 and Aquantia AQtion 10Gbit NICs with no problems.

Working transceiver

Someone gave me a 10Gtek 10Gb network card with a SFP+ port. So I got this transceiver because it was the same brand. The card was installed in an old Windows 7 server. This transceiver allowed me to connect a PC to a Netgear 10Gb switch. Happy with the purchase as everything worked on the first try.

Instant feature in my Netgear Nighthawk X10 R9000

I'm in the process of making Link Aggregation a managed switch from my X10 and wanted the SFP+ port of the Routers accept my internet data (WAN ). I connected this module, connected an RJ45 cable from my ISP and it worked. This has increased my online response significantly. This has also significantly increased my response on the Internet. Now I can connect my router to the aggregation switch and spice up my entire home network. Very good product. The packaging screams quality and does not…

Works great with Intel X520-DA2

Bought a used Intel X520-DA2 off eBay for one of my NAS units and before my new SFP+ switch arrived I added this RJ45 transceiver. It was recognized immediately by Synology and rated for 10Gb when using a CAT7 cable directly between my Mac Mini (with 10GbE) and Synology. Once the switch ships I will move this transceiver to the switch and update this review if there is any compatibility between this 10GTek transceiver and the QNap SFP+ 10Gbit switch. The workmanship appears to be of high…

Works when Ubiquiti is down

I bought a pair of Ubiquiti 10G transceivers to connect two Unifi switches. Ports lit up but connection didn't work. I tried everything: static IPs, hardcoded the connection speed, tried a different cable and whatever I thought about what I read at the time (that was a few months ago). I put everything back on auto, hooked up the transceivers and everything just worked. No problems after a few months. I will definitely buy them again when the time comes.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not bad

Packaging changed but incorrect information not updated.

I bought two 10G RJ-45 SFPs about 5 months apart. I have no complaints about the use, they work as advertised. I noticed that the packaging is a different color and design, but all the information stayed the same. However, if you change the packaging, you can correct the incorrect information on it while you do so. So the diagram shows that the interface is "LC", these devices have an RJ-45 interface.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Faulty
