Handles brake easily

Tested during the day at 95° heat. The temperature was 105° under the UV blocker and 142° for the standard black screen. These temperatures were read after the screens had been in the sun for 15 minutes. Deducted 1 star because the mechanism in the handles has to be something other than plastic. 2 umbrellas broke after only a few months of use.

excellent umbrella on folding umbrellas

My last umbrella served me more than 5 years. The reason I replaced it was because the handle had become sticky and the silver color of the umbrella had faded. I decided to buy new. My new one lasted about 8 months and the knob somehow got stuck in a tilted position. I emailed the company and they explained how to get a replacement. Since the umbrella was less than a year old, buying a new one wasn't difficult. This is the best umbrella I've ever had. The only thing I would do differently would

Protected and cool!

Perfect UV blocking umbrella. Perfect size, good weight, durable. The only downside might be that the spring-loaded trigger doesn't fully open the umbrella. But that's a small thing, and that doesn't stop me from loving the umbrella. I also love the logo on the side as I no longer feel like a crazy woman walking around fully clothed with an umbrella while almost everyone else is clad as little as possible! Now people can understand why I use it. I also had a lot of comments about how great it…

Summer blanket

this UV filter umbrella came just in time for summer - a few years ago I had skin cancer removed from the top of my head; my hair is quite thin; and I know I must avoid the sun. . . So what should the body do when it's time to walk the dog? I'm so glad I ordered this Space Umbrella (Silver) to protect me from those harmful rays. This is my summer safety blanket and I'm grateful to have it. Not worth risking your skin especially when you can go steeper - yes! It gets cooler underneath and you…

Wearable shade when walking

I like its weight and feel. The weight speaks volumes for me. And it comes with a carrying case with straps, which can be carried as a backpack. It's comfortable in the hand and I felt fully protected, not without it. it can be opened at any time. A word of caution: most people who go for a walk don't have an umbrella, and this one is quite wide. Be careful not to bump anyone. Regarding people watching because you have an umbrella with you on a sunny day? Are we in elementary school? So what…

Good umbrella, weak locking mechanism

I really like this umbrella. Size, performance and sun protection are excellent. But after a few months, the internal locking mechanism failed and the umbrella would no longer close. Supplier does not provide contact details for warranty replacement, so 1-year warranty is useless. Conclusion: A good umbrella for short-term use, but not suitable for real use. Update: I finally found the contact details of this company and sent the broken umbrella back. Return shipping is half the price of buying

lasted 4 years best in umbrellas

Bought this umbrella in May 2016 to run at work all year round. It worked, although sunscreen was still essential due to sidewalk reflections etc. In March 2020 I started working full time from home due to the pandemic but left the umbrella at work. A few days ago I went to my office to get a few things including an umbrella. When I lifted it out of the closet where it was standing, it stuck to the surface. The silver coating had deteriorated and the entire canopy became sticky and left marks…

It works to block the sun, but it's bulky and HEAVY!

There are so many things that could be improved on this UV screen, but the biggest issue is the weight. I bought a UV umbrella because I've been diagnosed with skin cancer multiple times. Thought this would be a great addition for when I need to be in the sun. However, my hand quickly gets tired of holding this umbrella. It's a lot heavier than any umbrella I've ever owned. I'd rather pay you more money for lighter parts. The handle is also very uncomfortable and wobbles a bit. The attached…

Worth every penny! for pocket umbrellas

I wasn't sure if it was worth paying the asking money for this umbrella. It was a little pricey compared to some others. I was particularly interested in the SPF rating. I was diagnosed with lupus last year and found that UV exposure usually causes me hives and itching. I've been using it for a few months now and this umbrella is worth EVERY PENNY! This is excellent quality. You can tell it feels solid and slides smoothly when opening and closing. It has a button that you press to open. The…
