I have two geriatric cats with renal impairment.

I have two older cats that have impaired kidney function resulting in potassium deficiency. Initially I could not get a cat to consume this product. After extensive experimentation, I found that one of my girls readily consumed Renal K+ by mixing the powder with canned salmon (of human consumption). I'm still trying to find something that makes it acceptable to another cat.

Cat Kidney Failure Help

We use the product for a maximum of 2 weeks. There were good reviews. We have a cat whose kidneys and liver are damaged. We had him get the rabies shot and it caused him complete kidney failure. His heart breaks. Apparently, healthy cats should not be vaccinated. Our mistake and it cost us. So we bought him this powder and lots of supplements (prebiotics, omega oils and all natural immunity boosting powders) to help him recover. Some said they had a few extra months with their cat and others…

Dramatic change in the quality of life of our cats!

Our pet panther, Princess Raisin, is 22 years old. Your kidney function has been declining for years. This spring she suffered from several bladder infections. Our last visit to the vet for antibiotics was awful and our vet said she shouldn't even be alive with the current state of her kidneys so they are in bad shape. My sister recommended Renal K, nothing to lose. 3 months later we have no cystitis, the princess is enjoying the summer outdoors, sunbathing, being active, healthy appetite, no…

Exactly what the vet ordered!

We lost our 17 year old cat to kidney disease a year ago. When our 13-year-old cat was diagnosed with early kidney disease, we knew we wanted to do everything we could to prolong her life. Live and stay healthy. Since she was losing weight, the vet recommended Renal K as a supplement. We've been on supplements for 8 months now and just had a blood test to see how she's doing. Her kidney function scores improved in all categories, with one reading even returning to normal! She has gained some…

If you have a cat and need potassium supplementation, try this!

Our 18 year old cat had a blood test which revealed low potassium levels (this is due to aging kidney function). Our vet gave us the K+ gel and said it was "yummy" for cats. After some research I came to the conclusion that "delicious" means it was maple flavored! Our Benny is an easygoing guy and easy to accept, but he didn't like the gel. Two weeks later I had to look for something else. I tried this powder. The container comes with a tiny shovel (1/8 t.). Use one scoop for every 10 pounds of

One of my cats needs a yearly blood test to make sure her kidneys are working properly. She does not have CKD (chronic kidney disease) but takes two heart medications. Neither is a diuretic, but her cardiologist wants us to just monitor kidney function because heart and kidney problems can go hand in hand. Luckily her kidneys are working, but her potassium levels were low. I asked our resident vet what could be causing the low number and she said it only happens sometimes. Well, we were…

Really did the trick!

Worked quickly on my dog. In March 2016, our 16.5 year old Yorkshire was diagnosed with end stage kidney disease. At first they said a couple of days, then after an IV drip, a couple of months. After much research, we mixed the main treatment protocol with herbs and herbal supplements. These included a special kidney-safe diet (home-prepared), subcutaneous electrolyte fluids, Azodil, and Epakitin. Herbal and botanical remedies included Five Leaf Pharmacy's Canine Kidney Care Protocol, Kidney…
