This is normal. I zero the bubble, use it to balance, then zero again indicates imbalance. I'm not sure how accurate that is. Having said that, I estimated the weight in the hub depending on the device and had no problems.

Nice and simple. Don't forget to level it before you start. The most difficult thing for me is to see the Babbe clearly. Your position and lighting affect what you see. I use a flashlight and look at it from different angles to get the perfect result. Very important.

Needed to fit cheap tires on a truck but I'm tired of the prices they charge at tire shops. I have a HF tire changer and a nylon tip tire changer (Mojolever) and now this balancer too. I balanced my truck tires and am happy with them up to 80mph. I'm pretty sure it's not perfect, but I've just saved a lot of money for a car that I'll never drive past 65.

I have used this item twice since I bought it and both times it has worked as advertised. This is a bubble balancer, not a $3,000 dynamic spin balancer. You must understand the difference between static bus balancing and dynamic bus balancing to understand the limitations of this device. I have found this to be a very good static balancer and am very happy with my purchase so far.

This wheel balancer is easy to install but as with any precision machine care must be taken when fitting a heavy wheel/tire assembly. The entire assembly must be on a level surface. The bubble is easy to adjust and very sensitive. I can imagine that with good care it will last for many years. It is also helpful to read the instructions (at least once). You'll probably never need a spin balancer again.

I would give this five stars, but after balancing the '03 Tundra tires I noticed that one of the guide rods extends .025" beyond the top ring that holds the rim. I haven't abused it. I'm not sure how much this affects the accuracy of the scale. Worked well for the 1st set on my Celica GT 195/70R15. Couldn't contact seller directly. I put new tires and rims on my wife's car and balanced the tires with this wheel balancer, got it to 70mph on the road with no problems. This balancer is great for small tires and wheels. Once you've adjusted the middle bubble, you're good to go. The problem I have is that the centering cone is too small to center the tires on my Ford pickup. Most of the cone is 4.377" and my rim's center hole is 4.889". Therefore, there is about half an inch of play.
