I only needed ONE. However, I was able to get these five packs for about the same price as two packs at my local stores (you just can't find ONE pack anywhere). I have no problem with them. They are designed for one remote control that controls a pair of outlets. It's not used often so I can't say if they have the same stamina as other batteries, but so far they've worked well for me.

My doorbell button uses these batteries to signal an outside doorbell in the house. In other words, my button is a wireless transmitter that sends a signal to a (AA) battery operated ringer in the house. These batteries seem to last about 2 years before needing to be replaced (1). I couldn't be happier as these 5 batteries will provide me with spares for years to come! Many Thanks.

At first I thought I only needed ONE of these batteries. Then I discovered that I was using other remotes and before I knew it I had swapped out four batteries. Also, when I connected my voltmeter to the batteries in both garage door openers, I could barely get a reading of 11.95 volts on one and 11.90 volts on the other.
